Project 828 is a dream that began in the heart of The Woodlands Interior Designer, Karen Boyd, in early 2012. Desperately wanting to make a difference in the world around her, she was continuously looking for ways to do so. Through life experiences, Karen became grounded with the belief that good and light can be brought into all hard and painful situations.

"You don't have to look far to see the brokenness of our world. My heart is especially moved for children that suffer due to no cause of their own. Whether that be a journey with ravaging diseases or cancer, or a life with parents that have been stolen from them because of their own brokenness, these children need others to step up, surround them and impart to them that they matter and are loved. Our non-profit strives to enhance the quality of these children's lives whether it is by providing for their basic needs, creating a special room of their own or taking them to a sporting event. We are reaching out...hands and hearts wide open!"
